Alexander "Alex" Christ, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his San Francisco home on September 20, 2025, surrounded by family. He was 89. Born in 1936 to George and Venetia Christ, Alex was a proud San Franciscan. He attended Washington High School, UC Berkeley, and UCSF, where he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserve and worked as a pharmacist for 39 years.

In the winter of 1962, during a rare San Francisco snowfall, Alex married the love of his life, Fareeda. They shared 63 years, raising five children and later welcoming a grandson. Faith and family guided Alex's life. He was active in the Greek Orthodox Church, singing in the choir and with the Dorian Singers and the Belmont Festival Singers. Alex was a champion golfer and chess player and loved square-dancing, boating, and water sports. He is survived by his wife, Fareeda; children Cathy (Angelo), Carol, George, John, and Alexandra; and grandson, Alec.

Trisagion will be at 7pm on Thursday, September 25, 2025 and the funeral at 11am on Friday, September 26, 2025, both services held at Holy Trinity Church, 999 Brotherhood Way, San Francisco, CA 94132. Burial following at 12:30pm at Greek Orthodox Memorial Park, 1148 El Camino Real, Colma, CA 94014, with luncheon to follow.
