Manuel Alfredo Guillén, a longtime resident of Covina, passed away on August 17, 2017 due to a massive heart attack. He was 55. Manny was born in San Salvador, El Salvador on December 17, 1961 to Alfredo and Rhina Guillén. He graduated from John Muir Fundamental High School in Pasadena. He later started working at JCPenney in Arcadia where he met and later married his best friend and the love of his life, Holly Hofeling. He worked as a mental health worker for 20 years, and was also involved with Special Olympics for many years.
He is survived by his father, Alfredo; mother, Rhina; wife, Holly; daughters: Gabriella, Danielle and her husband, Michael, Ashley, Kimberly, and Annamaria; and his siblings: Carmen, Rudy, José, Charlie and their families. Funeral Services will be Friday, AUgust 25, 2017, held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Covina Ward Building. Viewing will be one hour prior to services, also at the church.
