Obituary

Alanna Marilyn Siviero
June 16, 1975 - November 6, 2015

The beautiful, kind and creative spirit, Alanna Marilyn Siviero passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at Keck Hospital of USC on November 6th, 2015 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 40.

Alanna is survived by her husband, Marc Nahas and son, George; her mother, Joanne McGaw Siviero of Moncton, New Brunswick and her sister, Maria Siviero of Vancouver, British Columbia. She is preceded in death by her father, Gino Siviero of Montreal, Quebec.

Alanna was born on June 16th, 1975 in Montreal, Quebec. She attended Centennial Regional High School (Montreal) and followed it up with Dawson College (Montreal) where she studied Illustration and Graphic Design. She showed early signs of greatness by winning 3rd place in the International PRINT Magazine student competition. She began her career in Toronto at Bell Media (previously CHUM) designing for Much Music, City TV and Star!. After 6 years, she moved to New York City where she landed her dream job; an art director position at TV Land. She also led and creatively directed design teams at Food Network/Cooking Channel and at Dr. Oz Magazine (Hearst Publications). In the summer of 2015 she moved to Los Angeles to take on the role of Regional Creative Director at Outfront Media.

Alanna was a highly accomplished graphic designer, art director and creative director with many industry awards and accolades. She was ambitious, energetic and an inspiring leader. She had her finger on the pulse of the industry and used her knowledge and experience to navigate through any challenge. A consummate professional, Alanna was determined, driven and a perfectionist.

Alanna drew a lot of inspiration from her travels. She always sought out the best coffee, food and architecture in every city she visited or lived in and was an avid collector of all things vintage and mid-century. More importantly, she loved her son, George and husband, Marc more than anything. They were inseparable and shared all of life's great moments together.

Alanna left us way too early and will be tremendously missed as a mother, wife, sister and friend.

We would like to thank all the staff, doctors and especially the nurses at Glendale Memorial Hospital and Keck Hospital of USC for their exceptional care and efforts over the past few weeks.

A memorial service will be held at Chapman Funeral Homes (51 E. Huntington Drive
Arcadia, California), on November 11, 2015 between 6 and 8pm.
