Obituary

On September 22, 2022, Alex Chrysanthis passed away in his home at the age of 92.

Alex was born to Anthony and Alexandra Chrysanthis in Limni, Evia, Greece in 1930. His life's work was as a merchant marine. In August 1968, he married Vaso and together raised two children, Alexandra and Anthony.

Having grown up on the Mediterranean, he fostered a love for the sea. His life's work always had him traveling the world and he would love to tell us stories of the many places he visited. The many mementos he brought us from Australia, Korea, Mexico, Russia and many other places are reminders of his love for his family. When home you could find him busy with a home project, often lending his talents to friends and neighbors, or at the BBQ preparing for a family meal. When he retired, gardening became his passion. He enjoyed his lemon trees. But, he was most proud of his family and fiercely loved both grandsons, Alex and Michael.

Alex is survived by his wife, Vaso, his 2 children, Alexandra and Anthony, his 2 grandsons, Alex and Michael, his sister, Voula, and his niece, Sevaste.
