Alexander "Alex"
Paul Wile
July 13, 1941 – April 2, 2023
Alexander "Alex" Paul Wile, 81, of Westminster passed away peacefully on April 2, 2023, in Huntington Beach.
Born in Los Angeles County, California, at Mission Hospital in the town of Huntington Park to Virgil F. and Virgie M. Wile on July 13, 1941. He attended Junipero Serra High School and served 5 years in the U.S. Air Force.
Alex made a successful career with Arcata Graphics Inc. Pacific Press Division in Los Angeles obtaining the title as Journeyman Pressman until the company's closing in the early 1980s. After a successful career with Pacific Press, he purchased Fast Action Press which eventually became AJ Graphics Print Shop in Huntington Beach, until his retirement in 2021.
Alex had a unique sense of humor. His family and friends will remember many conversations and all the funny stories forever. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and an occasional pinochle game. But his favorite pastime was sports. When anyone visited his print shop sports talk was always on the radio. He was an avid USC Trojan Fan!
A proud member of the Bishop Elks Lodge and the Elks Lodge in Orange. He was also a member of the Ancient and Honorable Order of E. Clampus Vitus Slim Princess Chapter 395 in Bishop. The Ancient and Honorable Order of E. Clampus Vitus is a fraternal organization with a rich, if quirky history, dedicated to preserving the heritage of the American West, particularly the gold mining regions. One of his most memorable joys was attending the Junipero Serra High School Class of 1959 50th Class Reunion.
Alex was preceded in death by his parents, a younger brother, Michael, and a son Deron, who was tragically taken from this earth entering the throne room of heaven in 1973.
Survived by his sister, Joanne, five children, 14 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren, multiple cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who all loved him very much.
A private service for family will be held at a later date.
