Anastasios Barouxis

Anastasios, known as Tasso to his friends and family, was born on February 7, 1946. He was born in a small village called Salimna near Tripoli in Greece. At 26 years old, Tasso left Greece to go to flight school in sunny southern California. Though he decided against becoming a pilot, Tasso came to discover his passion and talent for cooking while working at various restaurants. He went on to own his own restaurant, Tasty Sunrise Burgers, for more than 20 years. Tasso was a true family man, who always wanted the best for his loved ones. He was extremely smart, funny, philosophical and only a little stubborn. He was also a great lover of history and the environment. Tasso is survived by his mother Maria, his wife, Patricia, his daughter, Maria, his siblings, Vasili, Dimitri, and Evagellia, and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. The viewing will be held at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday March 20
th
at 7PM. The funeral will also be held at St. John's the following day, Friday March 21
st
, at 10 AM. The funeral will be followed by the Mercy meal luncheon before continuing to the burial ground at El Toro Memorial in Lake Forest.
