On Friday, March 15, 2019, Andreas Papantonopoulos, loving husband, father and papou, passed away at the age of 72.

Andreas was born on June 2, 1946 in Diavolitsi, Messinias, Greece to Dimitrios and Ekaterini Papantonopoulos. He moved to Los Angeles in 1973 and worked various jobs before opening A & T Burgers in 1983. He married Vasiliki Nikas in 1976. Together they raised 2 sons, Dimitrios and George, and a daughter, Katerina.

Andreas was always there for his community. He never said "no" to anybody, whether it be his family (immediate and extended), friends, employees or customers. An avid sports fan, he always had his door open for friends and family to watch the Lakers or Olympiacos F.C. - his two favorite teams.

Andreas was preceded in death by his father, Dimitrios, and his mother, Ekaterini. He is survived by his wife, Vasiliki, his children, Dimitrios, George and Katerina, and his three grandsons, Andreas, Yiannikos and Bobby. A memorial service (Trisagion) will be held at 7pm on Thursday, March 21, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, March 22, 2019. Both services will be held at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 10830 Downey Avenue, Downey, CA 90241
