Obituary

Angelo Anastasios Boussiacos, 86, of Tustin, CA, passed away on June 6, 2024 at around 4:00am.

Angelo was born on December 8, 1937 to Anastasios and Fotini in Velo, Greece. After growing up in Greece for the first 17 years of his life, he took the journey to Canada then to Los Angeles, CA where he worked as a chef to make a living for himself and his family.

Having a passion for cooking, Angelo worked efficiently and diligently to make enough money to bring his parents and four siblings to the United States from Greece. Throughout his life, he was part owner of many businesses and eventually became the owner of his own business, Yellow Basket Restaurant. Angelo and his family grew the business and had locations in Santa Ana, Temecula, Menifee, and Wildomar. To this day, the family still runs all the properties those businesses stand on, serving their communities and countless people daily.

In 1962, Angelo met Connie at the home of Connie's brother-in-law in Los Angeles, CA. Angelo and Connie were together for 62 years and went on to have 3 children, Fotini, Dominique, and Anastasios.

In 1998, Angelo retired and spent his time cooking, traveling to Greece, and spending time with his family.

Angelo was predeceased by his father, Anastasios; his mother, Fotini; and his brothers, Peter and George. He is survived by his wife, Connie; his sisters, Sofia and Polexeni; his four children, Fotini, Dominique, Anastasios, and Michele; his son-in-law, Paul; his grandchildren, Angelo, Costadina, Steven, Erica, Jeremy, Nicole, and Christina; his great-grandchildren, Garrett, Adriana, Andres, Aiden, Artemis and Athena.

Services will be held at Saint John Greek Orthodox Church in Anaheim, CA. Trisagion at 7:30pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024, and funeral at 11:00am on Friday, June 14, 2024. Interment at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, CA at 1pm. Makaria following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shriners Children's Hospital, an organization Angelo felt strongly about and donated to himself.
