Betty Jane Derhammer was the third and last child born on June 24, 1928 to Hazel Fanny Roberts and Claude William Derhammer who were married October 16, 1917. Betty grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to California to attend USC. On June 16, 1951 she married Gerald Robert Knudson, Jr., the day of her college graduation. They lived in Fullerton, CA and had two children, Katherine and William Calvin. In 1963 the family moved to San Marino.

Betty was a realtor for several years, she stayed involved with her Delta Gamma Sorority, and she worked tirelessly on political causes to protect our freedoms. After joining later in life, she attended and participated in the LDS Church. She enjoyed playing tennis and bridge, gardening and entertaining her friends and family, and caring for her pets. She was especially skilled at decorating, cooking and shopping.

She is reunited in death with her parents, two siblings, Cline Robert and Ruth Charlene, and her son, Bill. "Momo" will always be loved and adored by her husband, children and grandchildren.
