Chris John
Stavaridis
July 30, 1942 – July 16, 2021
Chris John Stavaridis, of Venice, California, passed away on Friday, July 16th, 2021 after a long and strong fight with many health issues.
Chris was born in Woburn, Massachusetts on July 30, 1942, to the late John Arthur Stavaridis and Angelica (Kiki) Broustas. He is survived by four children; Barbara Parshall, John Stavaridis and his wife Lisa Stavaridis, Gregory Stavaridis, and Anna Stavaridis; his beloved granddaughter Isabella; and his brothers, Arthur Stavaridis and his wife Patricia Stavaridis, and William Stavaridis.
Chris was raised in Woburn and Winchester during his formative years. He attended Northeastern University and obtained an undergraduate degree in engineering and soon thereafter completed his master's degree in business from Babson College. Chris then married Donna Henderson. His love for aerospace brought him to New Hampshire where he worked at Kollsman Industries, and later started the firm Material Dynamics. Marvin Engineering brought Chris to the Los Angeles area to work for over 35 years. During that time, he married Euphrosyne Stavaridis, and went on to play a significant role in the substantial growth of the Marvin Group by running several of its divisions. Later, Chris married Allison Stavaridis, who was a supportive friend even after their marriage ended.
Chris was an active member of Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Church in Los Angeles, California. Chris enjoyed weekly services with family, bible studies, coffee hours, and fulfilled many service roles at the church as a docent.
Chris enjoyed many hobbies. Chris was an avid fisherman, but gardening was his favorite pastime. Chris enjoyed spending time with his family and was an animal lover who also leaves behind his two companion cats, Mavro and Niko ("the boys"). Chris frequently traveled around the globe both for work and pleasure. Chris was also a friend of Bill's for years while supporting many others within this mission. Chris will be remembered as a loving kind man, a very gentle person, who strived to help and support others around him.
He will be sadly missed and grieved by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers we respectfully request donations be made to The Lange Foundation Animal Shelter or Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
The services are as follows:
