Donald Lee Brown passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2018 of natural causes. Don was a 43 year resident of the Whittier/La Habra area, moving here from Huntingdon, Pennsylvania where he was born on July 10, 1938.

Don's passion was boating, woodworking & carpentry. We always knew to find him on Saturdays on his boat working on the engine or chatting with his fellow boaters at the Marina. He loved creating unique items with wood and was currently building a wooden motorcycle rocker, that his son and grandson will finish and keep as a family heirloom. He worked as a carpenter all of his life mostly remodeling homes and recently, even in poor health, remodeled his own master bathroom.

He is survived by his wife, Carole, daughter Pamela, son Richard, daughter Debbie, son David, five grandchildren, Amanda, Brandon, Josh, Jason and Brittianee and two great-grandchildren, Madisyn and Levi, and brother, Walter. Preceded in death by his brothers Billy and Howdy Brown.

We will surely miss the man that we call Husband, Dad, Pop-Pop, GG-Pa, brother and friend.

A Celebration of Don's life will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 12 noon followed by a light lunch at the clubhouse at Lake Park La Habra, 500 S. Palm Street, La Habra, CA 90631.

Who built his life on dreams.
No task - no chore - no obstacle -
Could alter his tinkering.
He loved the challenge – to create
A Craftsman to the extreme.
A caring, honest provider
That unselfishly gave his all,
A heart of gold and hands of steel
That responded to the call.
A Husband, a Father, a Grand-dad too,
That would help you to the end.
A simple man of integrity
whom all could call a friend.
There's a handy man in Heaven now
Who's fixing Heaven's gate,
Oiling the hinges with pride and care,
So they open for all who wait.
