Theodora (Dora) Pullos was born in Garden Grove, California
on March 4, 1960 to Vlassi and Dina Pullos. She had an
older sister, Faye, and later, a younger brother, Andy.
When Dora was 14 years old, the family moved to
Houston, Texas. She attended Spring Woods High School
and graduated in 1978. Dora was very
physically active and enjoyed many sports.
She enjoyed playing softball, tennis and swimming.
During her years in Houston, she attended the
Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church where she was
involved in the Maids of Athena and also the Greek Dance
Program. After high school, Dora attended the
University of Houston and received her Bachelor of
Science Degree in Business Technology in 1981.
Dora was a very intelligent young lady, as she completed
this program in just 3 years.
In 1987, Dora and her parents moved back to California
where they were united again with dear friends and family.
Family was important to Dora, she had a big heart and
loved everyone. Her mother was very close to her,
she was her best friend. She was very enthusiastic
and loved talking with everyone. She always enjoyed a
good laugh and had a sincere smile. Dora was a problem
solver. She once had difficulties with her car,
so she decided to take the engine apart, fix the
problem and put the engine back together again.
She was very good with using her hands. She found
enjoyment in drawing, sketching and painting
beautiful icons of Saints. She loved her religion
and found comfort with her artistic abilities.
She decided to go forth and go back to school again
and enrolled at the California State
Polytechnic University, Pomona and received a
second degree, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2004.
Dora fell asleep to the Lord unexpectedly on
April 11, 2015. She is survived by
her loving family, parents Vlassi and Dina Pullos,
sister Faye Pullos, brother Andy Pullos,
sister in law Elizabeth, nephew Nicholas and
numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was much loved and will be greatly missed.
