Elias Mattas, 92, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016, in Norwalk, California. He was born in Iraklia Serres, Greece. He moved to the United States at an early age, where he worked hard, provided for his family, and dedicated himself to them and the Church. Trisagion service will be Monday, July 18, 2016 at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 10:00 am, both held at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 10830 Downey Avenue, Downey, CA 90241.

He is survived by his daughter Panayiota Marougas, and grandchildren Eleni Dimitropoulos and her husband Tom, and loving grandchildren. He is predeceased by his daughter Maria Mattas in 2013, and his wife Despina Mattas.
