Obituary

Evangelina Gutierrez age 69, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 peacefully sleeping in her home in Long Beach, California.

Eva was born to Jose & Helen Gutierrez on Friday, August 15, 1952, in Carlsbad New Mexico at St Francis Hospital.

She is the big sister to five siblings Joe Jr, William, Lupe, Richard and Angelique. She always let it be known; she was the BIG sister. She loved being the organizer of everything; as well as in the mix of it all.

Eva was very active in high school. She attended El Rancho High. She had a lot of friends. She belonged to a girls dance club named "Sweet Inspirations" who ran around with the car clubs "New Breed, and "The Imperials". Eva was even voted Miss Pico Rivera. She was known for her loving demeanor, stylish dress, great legs, and big eyes. Eva is beautiful inside and out. Eva did marry Alfred Bojorquez, and had a son Alfred Jr. Big Freddy passed away in a car accident and Eva did her best to fill those shoes of playing Father and Mother providing for her son.

Alfred is her only son. He is married to Nichole. Eva has three grandsons Christopher, Alfred 3rd,, Nicholas, one grand daughter Isabella, and a great granddaughter Eliora.

Eva had all kinds of jobs. Her longest jobs were as an accountant for several years in the garment district, until the company closed. Eva kept impeccable books. Eventually she retired from Kaiser Permanente after working there over 28 years. Once Eva retired she moved to Arizona to be next to her parents. She lived there till the time her parents moved back to California, & Eva followed.

Eva's aspiration and goal in life was to love... She loved God, love, life, things, experiences, travel, parties, gatherings and people. She wanted everyone to be happy and love one another, for everyone to get along.

People describe Eva as SO kind, loving, forgiving, non-judgmental, obedient, giving, encouraging, adventurous, and courageous. She is like a light, when she walks in a room it brightens.
