George Nickolas Petsas passed away on February 15, 2015. His final days were surrounded by family and friends whose lives he had touched throughout his life.

George was born in Athens Greece and immigrated to the United States with his family as a young boy. As an adult his joined the United States Army, Airborne Division, and completed multiple tours in Vietnam. His bravery earned him the Purple Heart, Bronze Star as well as many other medals and honors. He was a true hero.

Everyone who knew him loved him. He lit up a room and was always the life of the party. His passing will leave a hole in the lives of his family and friends that no one call fill.

He is survived by his Nieces Julie and Vanessa, Nephew John, Aunt Toula, Cousins Nicko and Marie-Claire.

Trisagion service to be held Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m, both held at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 5761 East Colorado Street, Long Beach, CA 90814.
