Geraldine Ellen Smith, born July 26,1934 and passed on December 11,2017.
A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She is
preceded in death by her husband Dr. Raymond G. Smith. She is survived by
her loving family which includes her children: Robert Seely, Suzanne McKeag,
Jamie Shumaker, Georgianna Promer, and James F. Mckeag. Her grandchildren:
Stewart Walsh, Stephanie Walsh, Jonathon Promer, Melanie Promer, William Shumaker, James D. McKeag, Patti Segura, and Susie Palomino, as well as ten great grandchildren, and her sister Nancy Abbott.

She and her husband owned and operated Carson Veterinary Clinic in Lakewood for several decades. They had a deep love for animals which extended to their own home where they cared for their beloved cocker spaniels. After the passing of her husband she worked at Huntington Beach hospital for over 10 years before her retirement.

She was a proud civil servant in both La Mirada and Cypress during the time she resided in both cities. She contributed to both communities, particularly to many of the youth sports activities.
