Isaac Thomas Guilmet, 24 years old, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2018 at his home in Laguna Hills, California.
The loving son of Roland and Barbara (Eno) Guilmet of Lowell, Mass., and brother to Kaila Guilmet and her partner, Porter Diteman of Brooklyn, NY. Isaac also leaves his grandmother, Priscilla Guilmet, of Central Village, Connecticut, and grandfather, Anthony Eno of Keene, New Hampshire. Isaac was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Jean Eno, and paternal grandfather, Alfred Guilmet. Isaac also left behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
Isaac's wry sense of humor and easy going demeanor charmed all who met him. His extraordinary talent in the arts was observed by many and his dreams of becoming an art and music therapist to help others was just beginning. He had been accepted to Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado and was planning to attend this August.
Although Isaac struggled mightily, he was a force of perseverance - always pushing forward with goals set.
Isaac was a young man with many interests and talents. Listening and making music had been a theme throughout his life. It was his passion and relaxation. Rarely did he share his lovely voice. Isaac was also a bouldering and hiking enthusiast (often in the desert and always with friends). Isaac enjoyed making all kinds of art including photography, 2D work, and intricate wire-wrapped jewelry made from crystals he had found on his many journeys.
Isaac was caring and compassionate and he loved his family very much. He also had a large circle of extraordinary friends whose lives he touched in many ways. The outpouring of support from Isaac's community of friends at the announcement of his death has been an overwhelming comfort to his family.
There will be a service to celebrate Isaac's life on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at noon at the Pepperell Community Church, located at 3 Townsend Street, Pepperell, Massachusetts. After the service there will a gathering at the home of Sue Rowse, 39 Prescott Street, Pepperell, Massachusetts.
