Jamila Zouain was born September 18th, 1936, in Jafa, Israel to the late Zahia and Antoun Dahab. She is one of eleven children. She departed this life on March 2nd, 2014 in her city of residence, Santa Clarita, California.

She is survived by her two children Emilie Hanks and Maroun Zouain, her grandchildren Caroline Hanks, Alain Zouain, Saleem Makhuel and Claudine Zouain and her great-grandchild Amaya Graham.

Jamila was well known for her humble, caring and loving personality. She was always selfless and willing to help others. She was no stranger to the kitchen and was eager to feed any and everyone. She will always be remembered as Gaby and our beloved Theta.

Funeral services will be held on March 7th, 2014 at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1324 Normandie Avenue, Los Angeles. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery and reception at the Courtyard Marriott. E-mail condolences to www.chapmanfuneraldirectors.com
