On January 17, 2020, (Blessed Day of Saint Anthony the Great), at the age of 90, Jean Psilopoulos Koclanakis went to be with our Lord peacefully and surrounded by her family.

Jean worked for the American Embassy in Greece as an interpreter, she met Antonios Koclanakis during this time and soon after they were married on July 9, 1960. They started their life in Chicago and owned a Greek Novelty Store and Travel Agency, where they both helped Greek immigrants come to the United States legally and were beloved members of Saint Demetrious Greek Orthodox Church. Several years later, in 1977 Jean relocated to Southern California to raise her four children, instilling God, family, and education. She was a strong and independent woman, always placing her children, family, religion, and Greek heritage first.
