John
Haronis
March 2, 1965 – September 22, 2021
In Loving Memory
John Haronis passed away peacefully with his wife and soulmate, Catherine Pappas Haronis and his mother Angela Haronis, by his side in their home Wednesday morning, September 22nd, 2021. Throughout his courageous battle with cancer, he continued to live positively and enjoy life with friends and family.
John was born in Montreal, Canada on March 2nd, 1965, to Michael and Angela Haronis and was a little brother to Harry Haronis, who he loved dearly. Their family later relocated to the warmer climate of Southern California. This is where he met his wife Catherine, who he adored. Both originally from Montreal and finding each other in California, it's safe to say that it was meant to be.
John was extraordinarily smart, as an entrepreneur, he was able to dream the invisible. His accomplishments were endless; his drive had no limits, he was a self-taught student of life, always learning and always growing, never satisfied with what he already knew. His determination to succeed was never ending; his precision and attention to detail were unwavering as his standard was never less than excellence.
John was someone who always gave you his undivided attention and would truly listen. He imparted his new knowledge to friends and family with much enthusiasm. He had many passions and spoke to them often, like cooking. He could get someone who never imagined themselves in the kitchen to be throwing on an apron and sharpening their knives.
If you asked John, "How are you?" His reply would be, "Never Better." He was the kind of person you felt you've known your entire life upon meeting him. He loved to fish and enjoyed fine cigars while sipping on smooth scotches. One could always count on John to bring laughter to any room, no matter the circumstance. Anyone who met John will tell you he always had a smile on his face... even when he was enduring Montreal winters in his shorts and flip flops. He will be remembered for his love of life, his can-do attitude that never quit, an extraordinary sense of humor, and the fierce love he had for his family and friends. He was a loving and funny guy; he will be missed beyond words can express.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Pappas Haronis, his mother Angela Haronis, his brother Harry Haronis and sister-in-law Diana Haronis, as well as many relatives and dear friends.
May John be reunited with his father in heaven, Michael Haronis.
The funeral service is at 10:30am on Thursday, September 30, 2021, held at Saint John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Anaheim, CA.
