Yianni "John" Karamaras, 85, passed away peacefully at his home in Arcadia, CA on Saturday, May 31st, surrounded by his family. Yianni was born in Lykouria, Greece on January 12, 1929.

Deeply loved and appreciated, Yianni is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Andriana, his three beloved daughters, Eugenia, Maria and Voula, his five adoring granddaughters who were the joy of his life, Kali, Ioanna, Xeni, Andriana and Natalia, and his two son-in-laws, Athan and Paul. Yianni is also survived by a very large, close-knit family in Greece.

Yianni was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He loved his family unconditionally and they were his biggest pride and joy. Papou Yianni will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

A Trisagion service will take place on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 7:00PM at St. Anthony Greek Orthodox Church, 778 South Rosemead Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91107.

Funeral services will be held in Lykouria, Greece.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Anthony Greek Orthodox Church.
