JohnPaul Elie Frangoudis passed away on November 18th, 2018, at the age of 20. He was born August 27th, 1998 to the loving parents, Constantine & Elizabeth Frangoudis. He was raised in the South Bay area of southern California. JohnPaul was beloved by his family and shared a lot of natural gifts and talents beginning at a young age. While just 2-3 years old, JP learned how to skateboard, roller skate and swim. His childhood was filled with many fond memories that included countless visits to skateparks, ice rinks, movies and of course the beach. JohnPaul happened to rescue two of the family dogs who were a part of his childhood. He was a great listener who always had something wise to say and who had a compassionate heart. A lot of his poetry is very moving, thought-provoking and beautiful. He spoke with love in his voice and wrote with his heart, through ink.
JohnPaul moved along in elementary, middle school and high school with great ease and a high intelligence in various subjects. His teachers took great value out of his work and conduct while in school. He graduated high school with honors and an extremely proud family, and was ready to take on the world. JohnPaul was interested in pursuing a college degree and possibly culinary school.
JohnPaul and his father Constantine were able to visit Lebanon in September of the year 2016, meeting with many relatives for the marriage of his Uncle, Paul. During this time, JP got to understand life outside of the U.S. and a culture that was relative to his heritage. He was ecstatic on this voyage with Dad, and came back home not only with a huge smile on his face, but with a different perspective of life.
The Frangoudis family was blessed to have explored most of the Hawaiian islands with JohnPaul. These trips impacted our love for each other greatly, through understanding each other's interests abroad. JohnPaul along with the family was quite adventurous. New hikes, opportunities, experiences and places were always met with great enthusiasm and confidence. There was plenty of family celebrations and feasts that revolved around birthdays and the holidays. JP was close to his cousins always, who shared similar interest in skating and exploring.
Along with this curious mindset that tethered the Frangoudis family together, JohnPaul had a plethora of friends from all backgrounds of life that he shared immense compassion and love with. JohnPaul will be greatly missed by his mother Elizabeth, father Constantine and older brothers Nathaniel and Constantine, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His soul was one of pure love and an immeasurable amount of compassion for all. May your memory be eternal JohnPaul. We love you.
