Juan "John" Salinas, 69 entered into eternal rest on November 7, 2014

John was a decorated veteran who served over 22 years of active and honorable service with the United States Marine Corps. He served two tours in Vietnam. He retired as a Master Sergeant, at the El Toro MCAS in 1986 as the Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge (NCOIC) of Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) Schools.
After he retired from the Marines, he worked at Woodbridge Village Association in Irvine, CA for over 20 years as the Maintenance Supervisor.

He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his Mother, Felicitas, Father, Feliberto, Sisters, Felicitas "Tina" Reyes and Maria Oralia Rodriguez, and brothers, Feliberto "Choche", and Richard Salinas.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Mary "Alice" Salinas; children: Johnny, Tammy, Christopher, and Jarrod Salinas; ten grandchildren: Jordan, Elise, Lauren, Jonathan, Christopher, Carah, Ciersten, Catarina, Jaden and Jordan; and great granddaughter, Ruby.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:10 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014 at Holy Family Cathedral in Orange, CA followed by a Memorial Service and reception at the Garden Grove Elks Lodge starting at 1:30 p.m.

John's remains will be put to rest at the Veterans Cemetery in his home town of Corpus Christi, Texas.
