Katherine Dalis Angel, known as "Kay", passed away peacefully Monday at the age of 85. Mrs. Angel was a resident of Escondido, California at the time of her passing.

She grew up in Los Angeles, graduated from UCLA, and taught office management in Madrid, Spain and Las Vegas. She spent the last half of her life in San Diego, where she was married for fourteen years to the love of her life, Dr. Alexander Angel, M.D., Comdr. U.S.N., who predeceased her in 1998. She was blessed with his two daughters, Elizabeth and Patricia, and their families. She is also survived by her brother, John; nephew, Don; niece, Jeanine; and their families. Kay enjoyed the company of many friends, including those who donated time with her for the Philoptochos of St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church and Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to that hospital, or to UCLA.

A service is planned for Friday, November 9, 2012 at noon, at El Camino Memorial and Mortuary, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego.
