Kenneth E. King was born April 2, 1922 in Maryville, Missouri to Harry Andrew and Bessie Mae Eshelman King. He served in the Coast Guard, South Pacific Theater, during WWII from December 1942 to October 1945. Kenneth was active in the Boy Scouts of America for 24 years and received the Silver Beaver Award. He retired from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power as an electrical engineer. He was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many leadership positions.
He married Anna Blanche Roberts February 19, 1945. Anna passed away July 31, 1991. He married Mary Victoria Thomas Brown January 30, 1993. Mary Victoria passed away May 23, 2008. He married Patricia Ann Kent Romero February 14, 2010.
Kenny passed away July 31, 2015 in Orem, Utah at the home of his daughter. Kenneth is survived by his children Anna Marie Parish, James Wayne King, Kenna Diane Leonard, Jerold Andrew King, and stepchildren, Cherie Ann Tilton, Joy Denise Ewert, Diane Elane Koester, Thomas Arthur Romero, Martin Anthony Romero, and Jerold Kent Romero. His posterity includes 56 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a daughter Kristi Sue King, granddaughter Rebecca Mae Parish, great-grandson Joseph Louis Marchese IV, and a stepdaughter Vickie Jo Karnos.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2316 Hillview Avenue, Monterey Park, California. There will be a viewing from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location. He will be interned at Rose Hills Cemetery, Whittier, California.
