Marilynn Susan Paniagua, 73, passed away peacefully at home on July 28, 2016. Marilynn was born on January 2, 1943 in Los Angeles, California to Joseph and betty Norman. She attended Montebello High School. She is preceded in death by her parents,her husband of 54 years, Carols and a brother Billy Norman.
She is survived by her four children, daughters, Carol Nixon and husband Jamie, and Christine Meyer and husband Ken, sons, Carols Paniagua jr., and wife Mitos, and James Paniague, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Her sisters, Donna Hall and husband Terry, Kathy Lee and Peggy Alexander and husband Neil, a brother John Norman and wife Trish, and many nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives and friends.
On December 30th, 1961 Marilynn married Carols Paniagua in Montebello, CA. They lived in ALhambra, CA where Marilynn continued to live until the time of her death.
Marilynn was employed by Ben F. Smith, Inc., where she dutifully served for 42 years before retiring in 2014. In her Leisure she enjoyed crocheting, gardening and playing cards with her family. She loved losing herself in the many books she loved to read, traveling and going on new adventures. Most of all, Marilynn loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Marilynn was diagnosed with Stage IV Endometrial Cancer on August 3, 2015. She waged a valiant battle against the disease even throughout her final days. Funeral Services will be Sunday, 10:00am, held at Chapman Funeral Homes, Arcadia Chapel, 51 East Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA.
