Mary Louise Adame was born October 9, 1947 to Ralph and Tina Adame. She battled with pancreatic cancer for 5 ½ months and departed from us on July 14, 2016 in the beautiful home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Robin Jenkins.
Mary's parents met during WWII in Italy and left in 1946 to settle in Pico Rivera, CA. Mary was born in Los Angeles, CA at General Hospital, prematurely weighing only 3 ½ pounds. She was said to be a "miracle baby" by her doctors.
She grew up in Pico Rivera and met Wyatt Trammell, whom she married at the age of fifteen in 1963. Mary was a stay-at-home mother while her children were very young. Later, she worked for The Assistance League as a Caregiver, for Safeway in the factory, and then in janitorial services for private businesses until ultimately working for the Whittier School District cleaning an elementary school at night. She was the first female custodian hired by the district.
Mary could always be found maintaining her spotless home. She loved dancing and won many contests with her brother, Ralph, Jr. as teenagers. She also enjoyed singing to her favorite music, and doing aerobics.
Mary is survived by her 3 children, Alan, Sandra and Timothy; grandchildren, Austin, Madison, Savannah, Zachary and Nicholas; brothers Ralph, Jr., Mario, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ralph, mother, Tina and brother, Tony.
Memorials may be given to Rose Hills Memorial Park. Mary's family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospital and their fabulous staff, Dr. Larry Wagman, San Antonio de Padua del Cañon Catholic Church for their prayers and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care.
