Mary Lynn Bennett Phipps, Age 80 years, 9 months and 17 days, died Sunday, October 20, 2013 from cancer.

Born January 3, 1933 in Tulsa, OK. She attended the University of Georgia and graduated as an RN. Her first job was in San Francisco, where she met Dexter, her husband of 57 years. She lived in Oakland, Lynwood & Norwalk, all in California. She was a RN for over 30 years. Mary Lynn was a member of Community Presbyterian Church in La Mirada where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Presbyterian women. She was also a Deacon & Elder in the church. Mary Lynn lived in Norwalk for over 51 years and was a very active volunteer in the city.

Mary Lynn is survived by her husband Dexter of Norwalk, CA: her son Joseph and wife Mary of Fairfield, IA; her son John and wife Leslie of La Mirada, CA; her daughter Mary Frances McCone and husband Ken of Apple Valley, CA; and daughter Margaret of Norwalk, CA. She is also survived by four grand children Shara, Jeremy & Joshua Phipps of La Mirada, CA and Duncan Phipps of Fairfield, IA. In addition, she is survived by the "3rd daughter" Nancy Price Tighe of Victorville, CA.

Services will be held Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 3:00pm at community Presbyterian Church (CPCLM)13701 Hillsborough Dr., La Mirada.

Private family interment at Riverside National Cemetery.

She will be dearly missed by her family and loved ones. Until we meet again, we all love you.
