Obituary

Nick Stathes passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family at his side on Thursday, October 18, 2018. He was born September 5, 1932, in Los Angeles.

After graduating Dorsey High School, Nick served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was based in Okinawa. Nick went on to work at AT&T where he was cleared by the FBI to work on Air Force 1.

He retired at the age of 50 and became very successful with real estate investments. He was preceded in death by his father William (1951), his mother Maria in (2001), his brother Anthony (2011). He is survived by his loving wife Sonia, sons, Chris William, wife Amy, Nick A., granddaughters, Christina, husband Sascha, Brittany, great grandchildren Charlie Christopher and Bowie Nicholas, Sister Virginia Arnold, husband Rick and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be at 11 am on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Saint Sophia Cathedral in Los Angeles. Immediately following the services, there will be a luncheon at the cathedral. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Sophia Cathedral.
