Patrick Ralph Schofield, 79, of Stanton, California, passed away at Kindred Westminster Hospital on September 18, 2016, with his family by his side.
Patrick was born on April 28, 1937 in Clairton, Pennsylvania. He moved to California with his family during World War II. He attended University High School in Los Angeles where he ran track and graduated in 1955. He enlisted in the United States Air Force after graduation and served 4 years. For many years he worked for Elco Pacific in El Segundo and then formed his own business, Alpha Sales where he worked until his retirement. He enjoyed reading, sports, history, family time, and staying in shape. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Patrick is survived by his son Jeffrey, daughter Elizabeth, longtime sweetheart Margaret, and his brother and sister.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 28, 2016, at 11:00am at the Chapman Funeral Home located at 1342 East Chapman Avenue, Orange, California. A visitation will be held at the same location from 10:00am to 11:00am.
A graveside service will follow at the Riverside National Cemetery located at 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, California.
