Richard George Dilger was born in Mandan, North Dakota October 5, 1935 to Rose Berger Dilger and Simon Dilger. He died March 24, 2023 at age 87 in Anaheim, CA. He is survived by his sister Helen Craychee, nephews Bill Craychee (Laura Gallo), Don Craychee, and nieces Karen White (Bill White), Beth Craychee (Joe Craychee), as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. He also left behind his beloved cat Archie (adopted by family).

He was preceded in death by his parents Rose and Simon Dilger and sisters Rose Buck, Eleanor Dilger, Katherine Millett, brother Pete Dilger, and nephew Joe Craychee.

Richard grew up in Mandan, North Dakota. He served in the Army where he completed his education and training as a pharmacist. He enjoyed his work and spent the better part of his career working at the men's prison in Chino, CA until his retirement.

He loved to attend plays and musicals. He had a great interest in performance artists and was a collector of memorabilia throughout his life. He also enjoyed visiting with his family and playing tile rummy.

He will be missed by his family, friends, and neighbors.

Interment at 1pm on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, CA.
