Richard "Buzzy" Hovious, 85, of California, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Kaiser Hospital in Anaheim, California. Richard was born October 21, 1935, to Arthur and Maxine Hovious.

He enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Korean War. Richard was a carpenter by trade and retired from the city of Los Angeles as Principal Building Inspector.

Richard was an avid golfer and gambler and a good friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert Hovious.

He is survived by his daughters, Vikki Yanello, Sheree Fishgold, Doreen Appleby and Danyel McMahon; son, Rick Patton; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren. He will be interred at Riverside National Cemetery in California.
