Rochelle Ann Jasniewicz, 62, of Fountain Valley ("A Nice Place to Live"), passed away on July 20, 2017, with her family by her side. She was born to Lillian Cheese, November 27, 1954 in Sioux City, IA. Rochelle graduated from Central Tech High School in Syracuse, NY and received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Brockport University and a Masters in Special Education from National University. The first in her family to pioneer the West, Rochelle moved to California to start her family and life on the west coast. She was a life-long educator and special education teacher at Bancroft Middle School in Long Beach, CA. She loved the sun and the moon, the beach, the arts, music, dance, and above all else, her family.
Rochelle is survived by her loving children: Niko Jasniewicz and Maja Jasniewicz, and her very first grandchild: Zoë Jasniewicz. She is also survived by her cousin Fr. Michael Courey. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Funeral service at 11am on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Saint Basil Greek Orthodox Church, 27129 Calle Arroyo, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675. Interment to follow at El Toro Memorial Park, 25751 Trabuco Road, Lake Forest, CA 92630.
