Dad died of renal failure on December 9, 2015 at 12:20pm
On July 4, 2013 dad fell and had Hip replacement surgery on his left knee. This left him needing assistance with walking and using a wheelchair. My role changed from daughter to primary caregiver. Every night I prayed, "God, how can I help my daddy? Please guide me, instruct me, and teach me. Show me the way." Every day God showed me what dad needed and supplied for those needs. God taught me independence as I adjusted to my twenty-four hour job as his primary caregiver. I made sure dad took his medicine, had the best (most nutritious) food to eat, paid bills, and watched him as he slept. I treasured and loved dad all the more as I realized all the burdens and responsibilities he shouldered throughout his lifetime as my "Daddy".

Dad was a loving husband to Nila Taal Antonio who died March 13, 2005. He was also a loving daddy to me, Therese Antonio. He provided for us spiritually, financially, and emotionally. He lived his life with integrity, never failing to pay a bill and never cheating on mom, and always helping me with my homework. He emphasized hard work and persistence as the cornerstone to living a successful life. Falling into my dad's loving arms after a hard school day is my fondest memory.

Dad has a new body in heaven. He is with Jesus God the Son, God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit. He is with mommy, his parents, Tita Lucy, and Tita Gloria and Tita Norma; friends Titon, Bautista and Bob Foster. Dad, you will always be, 'my pearl of great price.' But the true pearl of great price, Jesus has taken you home. Rest in his loving arms.

Memorial Service will be Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 6:30pm, held at Chapman "Orange" Chapel. 1342 East Chapman Avenue, Orange, CA
