Sally Mildred Bailey Carrier (87) died on July 21, 2020. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Donald Alvin Carrier and her parents Clarence and Ethel Bailey.

Sally will be remembered for her smile and kind words she said to everyone she met. She touched many people along her way with her kind words and service she provided. She always said something positive to everyone she met (whether she knew them or had just met them).

Sally married her husband Don in the Mesa, Arizona temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on November 21, 1955.

Sally is survived by her children, Cory and wife Elsa of Escondido, CA; Craig and wife Lenore of Highland, UT; Melanie and husband Dave LeFevre of Snohomish, WA; and Darla and husband Boyd Helmandollar of Green River, WY. Her family, Shirley and husband Bud Zerbee; Jane Harlow; Burt Bailey; sister-in-law Nancy Bailey; Janet and husband Steve Vickers. She has 20 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many other relatives who she enjoyed visiting and spending time with.

Sally served in various capacities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints throughout her life. She loved to serve people and it came to her naturally. She loved Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and had a strong testimony of His plan for us. She played the piano from the time she was a teenager and accompanied many people. She served in Primary; Young Women; and Relief Society.

More than anything, Sally loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She always loved when children came to visit, and the grandchildren loved to spend time with her.

While her children were growing up, she made sure to attend all her children's school and church games and functions. She also sewed many clothes and costumes for her children and taught her girls how to sew when they were old enough. Her daughters also helped in canning and making jam (which they still continue to do).

Sally and Don also opened their home to children when the Church was doing the Indian Placement Program and all of her children have a deep love for one that has touched our lives Marilyn Reed who spent 3 years with us while going to high school.

Sally and Don have lived in Los Angeles, CA; Hemet, CA; Walnut, CA; Rainbow (Fallbrook), CA; Saratoga Springs, UT; Sally also lived in American Fork, UT; and Highland, UT after Don passed.

Sally worked as a Mother's Helper from Jr. High through High School. She also worked in the office of a truck body repair company after she graduated from High School. When she moved to Rainbow she worked at Fallbrook High School as a lunch lady while some of her children were going there; she worked as a receptionist at a chiropractors office to 3 different doctors; and volunteered at the American Fork, UT hospital as a pink lady.

Her children all remember the numerous cakes that she has decorated throughout her life. Both at all the weddings and various birthdays. We all remember being able to eat the tops of the cakes she cut off!

The graveside services will take place on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Rose Hills – 3888 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, CA at 10am at the Garden of Benediction. Due to COVID we are requesting all attendees to wear masks (if you can) and keep the physical distance that is requested.
