Sotirios
Eliopoulos
August 6, 1938 – January 13, 2019
Sotiri's life began August 6, 1938 in a small village in Greece, the youngest of five children. Growing up he spent his time in Greece, going to school, hunting, and providing for his family. He was an incredibly strong, and hard-working man who would do anything for his family and never thought of himself first.
He left Greece and followed his heart to Montreal where his soon to be wife, Sotiria, was living. They grew up together, got married and began their dream of having a family. They moved to Los Angeles and worked extremely hard and made many sacrifices for their family. He truly believed in the miracles of Saint Nicholas and always asked Saint Nick for strength to accomplish all things.
God gave them two daughters, two sons-in-laws and 4 grandchildren whom they love very much and the joy of seeing them almost daily made them extremely happy. They would gladly do anything for any one of them at any time.
His other joy was fixing things around the house and their cars. He spent hours with his brother Nick and son in laws figuring out how to take care of certain problems and enjoyed and never complained about doing it.
He loved making his little jokes with his friends, and made new friends everywhere he went.
When Yiayia fell ill to cancer, he took very good care of her. Last September, she passed from the disease, and he was incredibly heart-broken. He passed January 13, 2019 in Glendale, CA.
Now they leave behind a family who loves them, are proud of them, and all their sacrifices and miss them dearly.
