Spyros Lagousis was born to Jimmy Spyros Lagousis and Panayiota Lagousis in Lynwood, CA. He lived in Downey, CA all his life. He loved music, cooking, and cycling. He is survived by his mother, Panayiota Lagousis, sister, Christine Sparangis, brother-in-law, Themistocles Sparangis, brother, Sam Lagousis, sister-in-law, Lina Lagousis, son, Demetri Lagousis, niece, Helene Sparangis, and nephews, Sam and Jimmy Lagousis.

Spiro loved to play the guitar and sing, and at a young age he and his close friends formed the Levendia Band, playing in Greek Festivals, weddings, and baptisms. For forty years Spiro was part of the family business. At Jim's Burgers in Downey, Spiro proudly served the community great food. This is where he started his passion for cooking.

Funeral service will take place at 10:30am on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church in Downey. The Makaria will follow the funeral service. The burial service will take place at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
