Stephanus Rulan, age 75, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2023, surrounded by his family after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Stephanus was born in Jakarta, Indonesia on January 1, 1948. He met Jeanne Sosropartono through his childhood best friend (Jeanne's older brother) and they were married in 1978. They had two children. Stephanus was an incredibly patient and responsible man. He proved to be a wonderful and dedicated husband, loving father and doting grandfather. He always prioritized his wife, children and grandchildren over himself. He never stopped loving them with all his heart.

A father like you is rare, one that's so patient, kind and generous. A father that everyone needs, full of love, makes sacrifices and is funny. Nothing can replace a father like you, but we are all happy that you are now in a better place with God where there is no more pain and suffering.

Stephanus is survived by his wife Jeanne, two children (Arlene and Alvin) and a daughter-in-law (Haidi), and three grandchildren: Trevor, Eleanor and Genevieve.

A funeral service for Stephanus will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, at 10am, at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 19767 Yorba Linda Blvd., Yorba Linda, CA 92886.
