Steve Peter Theodore died peacefully at the Four Seasons Board and Care Home Sunday September 6, 2020 in Thousand Oaks, CA at the age of 90.

Steve is survived by his brother Ted Theodore of Winnetka CA, his nieces, Paula Roe (Bruce) of Reseda CA, Melissa Kornblatt (David) of Newbury Park CA, nephews, Peter Theodore (Teri) of Visalia CA, and Dean Theodore (Susan) of West Hills CA. Preceded in death by father Peter, mother Aphrodite "Venus", and sister Mary Theodore Nickas.

Steve was born on August 21, 1930 in Chicago Illinois. After moving to California the family briefly settled in San Diego in 1946 then to the San Fernando Valley where Steve graduated from Van Nuys High School in 1948. He received his AA degree from LA City College and went on to get his Bachelors degree from the University of California Los Angeles in 1954 in Business Administration. Steve began a successful 60+ year self employed career as a CPA. Steve continued to enhance his education taking many extension courses at UCLA while working full time. Steve also taught business courses at LA City College for a time.

A lifelong bachelor, Steve is fondly remembered in the childhood memories of his nieces and nephews as the always fun loving uncle who'd give them rides in his sporty Corvair.

Throughout his early years Steve traveled to Greece many times and was quite active in the Greek Orthodox Church including serving as a past president in the San Fernando Valley AHEPA Chapter. Steve urged his mother to live with him after his father's passing in 1979. Living in Los Angeles where they were active members of Saint Sophia Orthodox Cathedral until her passing in 1998 at age 102.

Steve was an avid sports fan with a particular love for college football "Go Bruins" as well as professional football. Steve cultivated an appreciation for good food no doubt learned from an early age in his father's restaurants, and his mother's cooking. He always enjoyed his restaurant outings with special friends and clients or brother Ted discussing the family business.

After Steve officially retired from his CPA business he continued staying busy overseeing the family businesses for several more years.

Due to COVID-19 a family only funeral service will take place at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth, CA. Father Gary Kyriacou of Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Camarillo, CA will officiate the ceremony.
