Ted Pastras passed away at Cedars Sinai Hospital on March 3, 2013.
Ted was past President of the Saint Sophia Cathedral Parish Council as well as the current Vice President and Director of Cultural Affairs for the Parish Council. He was also the President of the Byzantine Latino Quarter Business Improvement District.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jan.
In additional being a financial consultant, Ted was an actor and singer and an active member of the Saint Sophia Cathedral Parish for over 35 years. He and his wife maintained homes in Los Angeles and Clinton Iowa, where he will be buried. Ted and Jan were also the long time Chairs of the L.A. Greek Fest, the largest and most successful Greek Festival in Southern California.
A Trisagion will be held Friday, March 8, 2013 at 7:30pm. Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 12:00pm (noon), both held at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1324 South Normandie Avenue, Los Angeles.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Keith Strong Scholarship Fund through Saint Sophia Cathedral.
