Theodora Nikos
Born January 13, 1928 — Died April 3, 2015
"Teddy" as she was known, was born in Detroit, Michigan to Greek immigrant parents.
She is predeceased by her mother and stepfather Helen & George Karnezis, and sister Catherine "Katina" Nikos.
When Teddy was a teenager, she and her family moved to Los Angeles, California. As an adult, Teddy spent many years as a valued member of the UCLA College of Chemistry's administrative staff.
A devoted daughter, sister, cousin, and godmother, Teddy will be remembered and appreciated for her kind and generous heart, feisty nature and sense of humor, and her fondness for the arts, plants, animals, old movies and Christmas.
Teddy loved music and possessed a beautiful contralto voice that graced the walls of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox church as she sang in the choir for many years.
May her memory be eternal.
Funeral service will be held at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, 1324 So. Normandie, Los Angeles, CA at 10:30am on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Interment to follow at Inglewood Park Cemetery.
