Thetis Palamiotis departed this life in San Dimas, California on November 30, 2016. She was born in Lamia, Greece on October 26, 1930, the fifth of six children born to Christos and Efrosini Tsilimangos.
In 1951 she came to the United States with her parents and sister Sophia.
On November 25, 1953, she married her husband of fifty-seven years, Nicholas A. Palamiotis of Salt Lake City, Utah. They had two daughters.
Thetis was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great grand mother, who was a faithful steward of Saint Anthony Greek Orthodox Church since 1958.
She was predeceased by her sisters Dhespina, Aghlaia and Vasiliki, her brother Nicholas, and her husband Nicholas. She is survived by her sister Sophia Goultas of San Francisco, California, her daughters Maria (James W. Hronas) and Sophia (Stamati Papadatos), grandchildren Anastasia (Rhad Brown), Erini (Kekoa Lewis), Nicole (Aaron Schulman), and Nicholas Papadatos (Nisha); great grandchildren Noah, Ezekiel, Emma, Teadora, Mayson, Lucas, Jaxon, and Alyssa, and many nieces and nephews.
The Trisagion service will be held 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Saint Anthony Greek Orthodox Church, 778 S. Rosemead Boulevard, Pasadena, CA. The funeral service will also be held at Saint Anthony Church on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 10:30 am. A memorial luncheon will be served in the Trinity Ballroom following the funeral service. Interment will take place at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, CA.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Saint Anthony Greek Orthodox Church.
